Behaviour support improves the lives of people with disability by creating new strategies, building skills, and developing positive behaviours to meet their needs and goals.

What is Behaviour Support?

Behaviour Support Practitioners work with both the individual and those around them to understand why behaviours  happen and find positive ways to meet any unmet needs.  Behaviour Support can include helping people to find a better way to communicate needs, changing the environment to help meet the person’s needs and teaching someone new skills.

There are many different types of behaviour, and everyone uses behaviour sometimes to communicate what they need.  When the behaviour causes problems for you or someone you love, Behaviour Support can help.

Finding the right services can be confusing, but at Life Without Barriers, we're here to support you.

Who can benefit from using our Behaviour Support service?

Anyone who uses behaviour to express unmet needs, struggles to participate in the community, or has difficulty reaching goals can benefit from our service.

We help you understand why these behaviours occur and work with you to find new ways to support a positive and fulfilling life for you and those around you.
